General picnicking in Simpsonville parks does not require a permit. All picnic tables and picnic areas are available on a first come, first served basis to the general public. However, this does not grant exclusive use of park facilities or shelters.
All functions conducted in the park must be held in accordance with city ordinances, policies, rules and procedures.
Observe
closing hours for the park site. Park hours are 7:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.
Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in parks.
Vehicles are restricted to designated parking areas and are not allowed on grass areas.
Loud music, obscene language or boisterous behavior breaching the public peace is not permitted.
Facilities must be cleaned after use. Trash must be placed in proper containers.
Picnic shelters and meeting rooms are available for your family reunion, birthday party or business meeting. Call 967-9533 for more information.
Picnic shelter rentals are available to rent at the City Park located behind the Police Department. Call 967-9533.
No alcoholic beverages are allowed on the park grounds
No gambling, fund raising or political events are allowed in or on city facilities.
Park closes at 11:00 p.m.
All trash must be placed in trash containers.
Lights and water must be cut off before you leave.
Pets must be kept on a leash at all times.

If you live inside the city limits of Simpsonville and pay city taxes, the cost is $40.00 full-day and $25.00 half-day. If you live outside the city limits, the cost is $60.00 full-day and $40.00 half-day.

City Park - located on East Curtis Street behind the Police Department. Picnic shelters - Community Building, playground, tennis courts, multi-purpose courts, disc golf course, 2 ball fields and batting cages.
College Street Park - located behind the Activity and Senior Center. Features ball field, batting cage and small playground area. Neighborhood park.
Forest Park - located behind Sav-A-Ton on Hwy. 417. Features a picnic area, basketball court and a small playground area. Neighborhood park.
Alder Park - located on Alder Drive in Westwood sub-division. Features small playground, basketball court and 3 ball fields. Neighborhood park.
Tebblewood Park - located at the end of Tebblewood Drive in Westwood sub-division. Features small playground and spacious open grassy area. Neighborhood park.
Anglewood Park - located on Anglewood Drive in Westwood sub-division. Features basketball court and small playground. Neighborhood park.
Woodside Park - located off East Curtis Street on Woodside Park Drive. Features baseball field and batting cage.
Ball Field Usage -

fields. However, if these facilities are not being utilized, they are
available on a first come, first serve basis. To rent a field, call
Heritage Park at 228-0022.
Activity & Senior Center
Rental - (Click picture to enlarge) The Parks and Recreation Department also has 2 gyms and a
meeting room that are available to rent. Woodside Gym holds up to 300
people and the City Gym holds up to 700 people. Our meeting room holds up
to 60 people. Call for prices.

From Spartanburg: Take I-85 South to I-385 toward Columbia. Take Exit 31 (Simpsonville.....Don't take toll road.) Turn left at light. Go 3 miles. Turn right at Clock Tower. Go 1/4 mile. Activity Center on right.
From Atlanta: Take I-85 North to I-385 toward Columbia. Take Exit 31 (Simpsonville......Don't take toll road.) Take left at light. Go 3 miles. Turn right at Clock Tower. Go 1/4 mile. Activity Center on right.
From Columbia: Take I-26 to I-385 toward Greenville. Take Exit 27. Go straight at light. Go approximately 2 miles to stop sign. Take left at stop sign. Activity Center will be on the right.
Community Building Rental -

tables and chairs for approximately 90 people.
Rates (Sunday - Saturday): Simpsonville City Resident: $100 deposit and $30.00 an hour. Outside City Limits Resident: $150.00 deposit and $60.00 an hour.
