Ultra Beginner Line Dancing

 

Mondays & Wednesdays from 10:10 - 10:30 a.m.

 

Join instructor Sandy Rennell to learn the beginning steps of Line Dancing.  Join her along with Brenda Aleshire on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Senior Center. Learn the basics of line dancing in this  class to prepare you for the high beginners and intermediate class.

 

High Beginners

 

Mondays & Wednesdays from 10:30 - 11:15 a.m.

 

Sandy Rennell will also teach this class.  A step up from ultra beginner to prepare you for the intermediate class.

Intermediate Line Dancing

 

Mondays & Wednesdays from  11:15 - 11:45 a.m.

 

Come and let Sandy Rennell teach you the new line dances that everyone is doing today. Put all your beginner lessons to good use!

 Friday Night Fling

Time:  7:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.

Where:  Activity and Senior Center

Cost:  $8.00 per person or $15.00 per couple

 

The first Friday of each month the Simpsonville Parks and Recreation Department will hold a dance with adults of all ages.  Dance to a new band "The Kings III" and enjoy light refreshments.

 

In February, there is a "Sweetheart Dinner Dance".  It is a covered dish dinner with the Center providing the meat and beverage. The cost is $10.00 per person and it is from 6:00 - 9:30 p.m.  The "Kings III" band will provide the entertainment so bring your sweetie and dance the night away!

 

 

 

 

Movie Matinee

Senior Exercise Program   

 

Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 9:00 a.m. 

For ages 50 or older.  This exercise program has been designed especially for seniors and is excellent for staying flexible.  Carolyn Riddle will instruct you on fun, flexible movements which focus on strengthening and toning. Class is free.

Sunshine Singers    

 

Every Friday

Time: 10:00 am

Come and sing in our choir directed by Florence Hale, and music provided by Susan Thompson, our organist.  The group travels to different nursing homes and assisted living facilities to perform for their residents.  They also sing in the Simpsonville Christmas Parade.  No experience in reading music necessary, only a desire to sing along with others and have fun!

Traveling Taste Buds

Cost:  $5.00 refundable deposit

This is a monthly event for individuals with an adventurous palate.  We will go out for a meal once a month, as a group, and taste different cuisines.  It could be German, Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Indian or Italian – just to name a few!  The cost will be whatever you order for your meal.  Sign up early – Space is limited.
